Maddening normalcy of 'wtfbbq'-ism

It sure has been one stressful month. Classes bother me, job gives me upset stomach, and coworkers bickering makes me want to just roll my eyes. At least there is Thanksgiving break for me to look forward to. Since it's hard to name the name and play some blame game without giving away the explicit detail regarding my job (hence jeopardizing my job security), I will let it go until I can think this one through: (Status Report Time!)

School:
It's there, immobile as ever.

Well-being:
Could use some exercise.

Job:
Let's not talk about it.

Scanlation:
Waiting for this series to be released in tankobon.

Reading:
Book: Memoir of Geisha (Drama)
Manga: Ah! My Goddess (Drama/Comedy/Supernatural/Harem)

Watching:
Mets lost, so no more baseball for me until next season.

Two Cents:
More anti-diabetic drugs... terrific. Let's see how much insurance companies will profit from this, and let us hope that no CEO will retire with billion dollar golden parachute.

Kenny Rogers didn't put dirt on his pitching hand... that was poo.

Mets better land on Zito and stop chasing after another Japanese player... because Shea Stadium has been a graveyard for Japanese player.

I hope you got your flu shot.

First blog outside of February or December (Yes, I like winter)

So much has happened in last 7 months or so...
I've changed my job (no, I just relocated where I work), my relationship is progressing nicely enough to think about future. Grade has been turbulent more than stock market (horror).
My sister got married, and I got a cute kitten who is now a fat rug who likes to stump on my chest (oof!): (Status Report Time!)

School:
If I was a video game console, it sure feels like it's stuck on "Reset" button.

Well-being:
WFWN

Job:
Changed the store, but working harder than ever... (less hour, though)

Scanlation:
Started "Yuria Type 100", sponsored by Solaris-SVU (as usual)

Reading:
Book: Crest of the Stars (Sci-Fi/Drama)
Manga: Gunnm/Gunnm Last Order (also known as "Battle Angel Alita" in US, Highly Recommended)

Watching:
Mythbusters, and Pimp My Ride (yes, it's that ridiculus show with Xzibit in it)

Two Cents:
Rite-Aid bought another pharmacy chain, Eckerd. What does that mean to you? It means expect to wait even longer at your drugstore counter as Rite-Aid is known for being cheap on staff payroll. Overworked pharmacy staffs juggling phones with no extra help? Trust me, you don't want that, and I could think of more than one reason on why.

By the way, everyone at the wedding thought I looked alright in kilt... It looked like a headscratcher to me.

And there goes yet another St. Valentine's Day

Record setting snow storm wrecked havoc on everyone's life, and I found myself trapped inside this place until I managed to push the door open. Snow shoveling is hard work, after three days, I am still seeing the reminescene of memorable sunday.
I could honestly say that I am probably the only fool brave (or stupid) enough to pick up flowers on stormy sunday and deliver it to my dear.
Too bad, that midterm pretty much ruined any possibility of spending some quality time on Valentine's Day: (Status Report Time!)

School:
One midterm done, and the other will be here soon.

Well-being:
WFWN

Job:
No change, same old, same old.

Scanlation:
Nothing at the moment, but trying to find a group to work on Hanamizawa Q-taro's "Momoiro Sango".

Reading:
Book: Wicked (Fiction/Fantasy/Drama), American Vertigo (Non-Fiction)
Manga: Toshiue no Hito (Seinen/Ecchi/Drama/Romance)
Chokotto Sister (Seinen/Ecchi/Drama/Comedy/Romance)
Lucu Lucu (Shonen/Comedy/Occult)

Watching:
2006 Torino 20th Winter Olympic (Apollo Anton Ohno stinks... Booo~)
Anime: Mai-Otome (Shonen/Action/Fantasy)
Fate/Stay Night (Shonen/Action/Fantasy)
Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~ (Shoujo-Yuri/School/Drama/Romance)
Games:
Shin Megami Tensei (True Goddess Reborn): Nocturne

Two cents:
Two companies you should carefully follow this year: Pfizer, and Merck.
Pfizer is losing patent on Zoloft, a popular anti-depressant medicine, but will release the inhalation form of human insulin (Exubera), first of its kind this year. If Exubera proves to be a hit, their stock will go up... (up to 40% is my guess). However, if it proves to be a failure (due to complication of COPD, and low-tolerance towards frail and elderly patients), then Pfizer will struggle this year.
Merck is losing patent on Zocor, once popular cholesterol reduction drug ("Statin" family-lost some popularity after Pfizer's Lipitor, and AstraZeneca's Crestor came out). However, their success will be based on newly approved HPV Vaccine which may reduce the risk of women getting cervical cancer in their later years.

Enough chatter, and new review will be here soon.
